How does Wisnio reduce bias and take into consideration inclusivity?

Our assessment process has been designed for inclusivity and we have adopted all known methods for making the process as inclusive as possible. More specifically:

  • Adaptation for Varied Processing Speeds: No time constraints are enforced to adapt for various processing speeds.

  • Unlimited retake of tests to mitigate for increased anxiety.

  • Qualitative analysis instead of quantitative filtering or scoring of individuals

  • We deliberately excluded cognitive ability tests and similar evaluative measures that are more prone to biases.

  • Customizable interface and environmental settings to accommodate diverse comprehension of text.

  • Test items use simple, pain language to ensure clarity and accessibility.

  • We use trait-based instead of type-based assessments to better capture the diverse behaviors and preferences of people who “do not fit the pattern”.

That said, it is crucial to emphasize that our assessments are not tools of clinical psychology and should not be used as such. They are not designed to capture all nuanced traits and preferences of neurodiverse individuals, nor should they be used for clinical evaluation of such characteristics. Our focus is on inclusivity and fairness in a non-clinical context, aiming to understand and accommodate the broad spectrum of human diversity in the workplace.

How much time do the surveys take (candidate or a team member)?

The surveys Include:

  • Leadership Competencies

  • Personality: Based on the Big Five model.

  • Values: Schwartz's Theory of Universal Values.

After receiving the invite, completing your profile takes just 15-25 minutes, and you can access your Personal Profile immediately. That means you can also use the insights for your benefit.

Will team members see the candidates?

No, unless the admin user wants to involve them in the hiring process. Your assigned Wisnio admin user controls who will see and can contribute to the hiring process.

Will candidates see the team profile?

No, candidates will only see their profile, which they also can download and keep (many of them like to do this). They won’t have access to the position information or the team data. The latter will be available for the selected candidate in the onboarding process.

What’s the science behind the tool?

Wisnio relies on validated academic frameworks to assess the deep-level characteristics of team members and candidates. The frameworks include

  1. The Big 5 Personality Model based on Costa & McCrae;

  2. The Schwartz Model of Universal Human Values;

  3. Leadership Competencies based on Spencer & Spencer.
